TERMS OF SERVICE (TOS): BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES

Welcome to Digital Deadwood!

TDG Communications, Inc. ("Company", or "We", or "Us") is responsible for setting the member Behavior Guidelines for Digital Deadwood members and the Digital Deadwood community at large. However, our members, visitors and guests must also all take responsibility for the quality of the Digital Deadwood experience. In this spirit, we have created these Behavior Guidelines to help all members understand what is and is not considered acceptable behavior in Digital Deadwood. These Behavior Guidelines are a supplement to and integral part of the Digital Deadwood Member Agreement, and are provided to help define guidelines to a positive experience for all members of Digital Deadwood.

Digital Deadwood is more than simply a game. Digital Deadwood is a service, a service provided by TDG Communications, Inc. ("Company") to you ("Member"). It is a shared experience that allows people to create and control characters called "avatars" that interact in an online society. In order for members to have the most enjoyable experience, you should approach other members/avatars with the same courtesy and respect that would be expected in any real life group of people of mixed ages, races, cultures, genders and beliefs.

Digital Deadwood is currently provided as a service to any member who agrees to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in the Member Agreement. Digital Deadwood reserves the right to change the nature of this relationship at any time. MEMBERS WHO VIOLATE THE TERMS OF THE MEMBER AGREEMENT MAY PERMANENTLY BE BANNED FROM USING DIGITAL DEADWOOD. ENTERING DIGITALDEADWOOD.COM AND/OR THE DIGITAL DEADWOOD ENVIRONMENT WILL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THESE RULES.

You are entirely liable for all activities conducted through any Avatars registered to your email address ("Account"). The following rules apply while using Digital Deadwood:

Consider the feelings of other people in what you say and do. You're relating to a real person, not a character. Think before you speak or act, or you may make mistakes that will prevent you from making friends and becoming part of the larger Digital Deadwood community.

Speak up for your views, but don't attack other people. Harassment, defamation, abuse, or threats against others through words, pictures or actions are not allowed and could result in account suspension or termination.

The following specific rules provide more-detailed guidance on acceptable, and unacceptable, behavior:

1. Pornographic and obscene images and language are not permitted in text chat, public areas, public messages (such as in world signs that may be read by others) private messages (such as Instant Message) or via external hyperlinks or anchors.

2. Do not disrupt the flow of a discussion by repeatedly posting the same text message or voice message.

3. Respect others' requests to refrain from behavior they or others may find offensive, and be forgiving of others' mistakes.

4. Offensive and indecent names or descriptions used for Avatars, Digital Deadwood Objects, Events or any other in world communication are not allowed and will be blocked, and the member will be suspended.

5. Members are allowed one avatar per family member. Members are not allowed to create multiple accounts using the same or different email addresses for the purpose of acquiring multiple Digital Deadwood Dollars and then "giving" them to one avatar. This process is known as muling and is not acceptable. The reselling of member accounts for the purposes of making a profit is also not acceptable. The internal economy of Digital Deadwood is real and monitored like any other economy to ensure it is reliable, dependable, secure, and fair. Digital Deadwood monitors transactions that indicate this type of fraudulent behavior and reserves the right to terminate the account of any member identified to be engaging in these practices, or to freeze the account(s) of members who participate in the activity described above.

6. Follow traditionally accepted rules governing contact between adults and minors (anyone under 18), including respect for privacy and restraints on language and behavior. Traditionally accepted rules prohibit improper overtures, sexually suggestive activity and prying questions in contact between adults and minors. Currently the Digital Deadwood environment is considered "PG-13". PG-13 is a movie rating term that describes behavior and content standards that are acceptable for an audience of 13 and over.

7. The community you are entering provides a social experience true to real life. Negative experiences such as verbal assault, harassment, fraud and theft carry penalties including automatic suspension of a member's account, possible termination of a member's account and a report to the proper authorities if warranted.

8. The promotion of illegal activities is not allowed in our community under any circumstances and members who participate in such activities will have their accounts terminated with a possible report to appropriate authorities if warranted

9. Respect the rights of others to enjoy safe and unimpeded access to the world. You may not transmit any content containing a virus or corrupted data, or use Digital Deadwood or other Internet services in a manner that adversely affects the availability of Digital Deadwood resources to other members. This includes "hacking" development tools or programming code created by TDG Communications, Inc.

10. You may not provide external links through Digital Deadwood to sites containing content in violation of these Behavior Guidelines.

11. Be yourself! Do not impersonate Digital Deadwood Administrators, TDG Communications, Inc. staff members, or other people with official roles. Doing so is grounds for suspension and termination.

12. Recognize your own responsibility in having access and allowing others access to your accounts. The person to whom the account is registered is ultimately responsible for any actions from his/her account. Protect your password. Digital Deadwood staff will never ask for your password. Do not give your account information out to anyone.

13. Trade scams are not permitted in Digital Deadwood. Trade scammers will have disciplinary action taken against their account. Trades are considered appropriate when any items, objects or Digital Deadwood Dollars possessed by one of the parties involved in a trade are purposely given to each involved member by mutual agreement.

14. Please respect the rules, other community members, and the staff members who work hard to provide and improve these services. Adherence to these guidelines will help to make your and others' use of the service a positive experience.

Failure to comply with the guidelines detailed herein can lead to notifications, sanctions, or your account being suspended (your log in will be inactivated) from the Digital Deadwood service(s) temporarily or permanently without warning.

We will do our best to judge all individuals and actions based on their own merits and in context. We reserve the right to moderate the activities in our community for any reason. Ultimately, the use of the service is a privilege, not a right, and those privileges can be revoked at the discretion of TDG Communications, Inc. We may elect at our sole discretion to monitor some, all, or no areas of Digital Deadwood for adherence to these Guidelines or other Digital Deadwood rules that may be updated from time to time.

All decisions of TDG Communications, Inc are at our sole discretion. If you have questions, comments or suggestions regarding these Behavior Guidelines, you may write to info@digitaldeadwood.com.
