30 June 2004: You may have noticed a number of tweaks and fixes over the past several days, including a faster loading screen and a better quest inventory. Stay tuned for a better walking routine, automatic password retrieval and more!
29 June 2004: The shootout game is almost done, and it looks great! We're also working on a central portal screen for logins. The screen will allow you to choose between walking onto Main Street or directly entering a game. You'll also be able to choose what time you want to play in. The modern era too new for you? Try the 70s - the 1870s, that is.
25 June 2004: HBO Deadwood actor W. Earl Brown is in the Black Hills this weekend. Brown, who plays Al Swearengen's henchman Dan Dority, is talking to reporters today at 1:30 PM MDT and signing autographs at 2:00 PM MDT at the Saloon #10 on Deadwood's Main Street. Brown's character is based on the actual manager of the Gem Theater. He's vacationing with his wife, Carrie, and their six-year old daughter. Brown is the third actor from the HBO series to visit Deadwood this summer.

Simply go to the "Create Your Character" screen and enter your existing e-mail address and password. After you alter your avatar, click on the "Play Now" button. Your new information will overwrite your old character. E-mail us if you have questions!
23 June 2004: We've busily been working on the shootout game, which should be up and running in a few days. There's an updated screenshot on the downloads page - ugly bad guys, beautifully rendered Gem Theater (based on photos of the real place). Check it out.
14 June 2004: We sent out our second e-newsletter today with notices on our new features. If you didn't get one but would like to, just e-mail us!
11 June 2004: Our new home page and registration page are now active. It's easier than ever to create a character and log in!
10 June 2004: While we're developing the shootout game, we're also correcting a number of bugs in the game engine. If you run into something while you're in DIGITAL DEADWOOD, don't hesitate to report it.
9 June 2004: You might have noticed that it's a little harder to win at the slot machines now. While we've altered the formula to be more like real life, it's still pretty loose. What do you think - how easy should it be to win at the slots?
8 June 2004: The shootout game is moving along swiftly, and we expect to test it by Friday with the goal of making it live by early next week! But before then we should make the new homepage live. As always, keep checking back...
4 June 2004: Did you know that you can get a coupon redeemable for $1 off the Silverado Grand Buffet? All you need to do is log on, enter the Silverado Casino and listen to Silver A. Doe. Click on the link when it appears and you'll be taken to a printable coupon. It's that easy!
3 June 2004: We now have well over 1,000 registered accounts! Last month we also logged about 7,000 visits and over 1.5 million hits. Not bad for a site that hasn't advertised. Thanks to everyone - and keep checking back for new features.
2 June 2004: If you're having trouble seeing new graphics and getting new features to work, EMPTY YOUR BROWSER'S CACHE! It depends on what program you're using, but typically you have to access your Options or Preferences, usually from the Edit or Tools menu bar. Check under your Privacy or Advanced tabs for a button that says Clear Cache or Delete Temporary Internet Files. E-mail us if you have questions.
1 June 2004: We plan to have the new, easier to use home page live by the end of this week. The new layout will make it much faster to create a new character and log on to DIGITAL DEADWOOD. We're also working on Wild Bill's shootout game. With any luck, we'll have it online near the middle of this month!
