Check back for the latest information on DIGITAL DEADWOOD, including press coverage, launch dates, promotions and more.
24 March 2005: Digital Deadwood is going on the road in a couple weeks, courtesy of the Governor's Giant Vision Business Awards being held at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls on April 7th. If you're near the Sioux Falls area, feel free to stop by in the late morning and early afternoon to visit TDG Communication's Digital Destinations display. There are 19 other entrants into the competition, all showcasing the new wave in technology. To learn more about the awards program, visit the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
21 March 2005: Thanks for all the kind words and visits from the Big & Rich fans! Last we heard, their new music video featuring Deadwood will air in about another two weeks on CMT. Be sure to keep your eyes open! Until then, plan on seeing Big and Rich perform for FREE in Deadwood during Wild Bill Hickok Days June 17-19! Aside from the outdoor concerts (which will also feature .38 Special), there will be fastdraw competions, Western re-enactors and gun-spinning championships! For more information, check out the Deadwood Chamber's Web site.
10 March 2005: If all goes according to plan, Big & Rich will finish filming "Big Time" in the Deadwood area today. Two of their confirmed stops in the Black Hills are Kevin Costner's Tatanka attraction and Rochford's Moonshine Gulch Saloon. We've assembled some photos from their shoot yesterday on Deadwood's Main Street (mostly at the Franklin Hotel) on a special page. Click here to see them. To see a larger version of the photos, just click on the thumbnails.
09 March 2005: Country music stars Big and Rich are shooting their video for "Big Time" in Deadwood today! A few moments ago they rode horses down Main Street, and later on they'll be heading up to Kevin Costner's Tatanka. A short video clip of their shoot earlier this afternoon should automatically play for you below. If it doesn't, or if you'd like to see a larger version, click here. It's a WMV file, so you'll need Windows Media Player (free download) to view it.
08 March 2005: The second season of HBO's Deadwood premiered on Sunday with outstanding reviews. In the meantime, the real Deadwood is having a fantastic start to March. It's snowing heavy, wet flakes outside for our snowboarders, skiiers, snowmobilers and country duo Big & Rich, who are shooting a music video right on Historic Main Street. Big Kenny Alphin and John Rich have been calling Deadwood their second home for several years now (they've written several of their songs here, and Kenny even got married here a few weeks ago), so it's only natural that they'd come play in Deadwood and remind folks to love everybody and yee-haw.
