27 May 2005: The month has slipped by once again! Welcome to the start of the Memorial Day weekend, the official start of summer out here in the Black Hills. Things are about to get a whole lot busier in Deadwood, and the offices here at TDG are no exception. DIGITAL STURGIS is coming along quite nicely, and we'll have an official alpha version in our hands in a matter of days! For more details, watch your e-mail box for the latest newsletter, which should come in out in the next few days.
If you're in Deadwood this afternoon, remember to stop by the parking lot across from the Franklin Hotel for the dedication of the Tony Chytka T.C. Holloway statue. A memorial to a promising young bronc rider, the statue is a half life-sized bronze with interpretive information developed by TDG.
11 May 2005: It's been a while since we've posted any news up here, but it isn't because there's nothing going on. In fact, we've been spending a lot of time on DIGITAL STURGIS, which will be up and active in a matter of weeks! We should get some screenshots posted soon, and maybe even a beta version for download! If you're interested in beta testing for us, drop us a line. In the meantime, feel free to visit some of our latest projects, including the Black Hills News Bureau and the Deadwood blog.
In other news, the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce has confirmed Cowboy Troy for the Wild Bill Hickok Days celebration June 17th-19th. The hick-hopper will join Big & Rich, Sacred Cowboys, King Stragler and Hailey Soyland for Sunday's free concert on Main Street. If you can, come up and see the show!
